INFORMATION ON NORTHRAND SCOUT GROUPS 2024

AGES: Groups can offer activities to a range of age groups (branches): MEERKATS (5 - 7), CUBS (7 - 11), SCOUTS (11 - 18) and ROVERS (18 - 30)

SPECIALITIES: Scout Groups can specialise in either air, land or sea activities. This impacts the programme most for Scouts. Meerkats and Cubs run the same programme irrespective of their speciality.

MOVING BETWEEN GROUPS: Though normally members remain in the same group, it is possible to move to a new group. The is important if the group you are in does not offer the next age branch.

FEES: All fees are expressed on an annual basis, though some groups request monthly payment. The fee shows the basic annual cost of being a member of the group without discounts.

OTHER DISTRICTS: This form only shows units in the Northrand District (Greater Bedfordview-Edenvale). For information on other Gauteng Groups visit https://gauteng.scouts.org.za/scouts-near-you/.

GIRL GUIDES OF SA: GGSA is Scouts South Africa's sister movement. Some groups in the District have active GGSA units meeting at the same venues and encourage girls to enroll in GGSA.
